Suitable for strong transmissions
Suitable for local stations and suitable for remote stations, but does not replace the mast antenna for remote station reception. The overall length is not long enough to be a quarter wavelength of "college band" or typical public radio stations. A few inches more and it might work. The F connector is good and there is enough tension to keep the antenna upright. If you're listening to fairly strong stations, this is a small step up from a dipole and is much easier to orientate.
- To get the best reception, pull the end of the antenna away from the device as far as possible.
