Review on Wag Food Beef Vegetable Recipe by Anna Fetzner

High fat levels gave my dog acute pancreatitis

Have you ever been woken up at 3am to your dog splashing bloody feces on the kennel and floor? If you buy this dog food, you might! What an awful experience! Three visits to the vet over two months, totaling over $1,000 to properly diagnose the 9% crude fat in this food (and the 15% crude fat in Wag kibble) were the cause of this disgusting and very embarrassing disease. Revain says on its can that the nutrient content is formulated to meet AAFCO guidelines. AAFCO says crude fat should be 5.5%, not 9%. The vet pointed out that a dog food that meets the basic minimum nutritional requirements does NOT mean it has been tested for months and years to see what effect it has on them! This food was very expensive and potentially life threatening to my dog and I will never buy it again. I urge you not to do this!
