Review on Victorinox 6.8063.20-X2 8 Inch Swiss Classic Chef's Knife: A Cut Above the Rest by Lisa Black

Revainrating 5 out of 5

There's no need to buy a $200 knife with this villain.

We cook at home in my house all the time (call us foodies), but I could never bring myself to invest $150-300 in a high-end chef's knife . The Victorinox series is perfect for expanding your Walmart knife set. Great grip, good edge retention, easy to clean and you're not afraid to beat them on price. I've had several Victoinox (chargeable knives, slicers, 10" chef's knives) for years and they just refuse to break. We use them for everything from chopping onions to slaughtering chickens without a single complaint. We bought this for my son. He is 13 years old and learning to cook. I prefer the 10" model, but the 8" is perfect for small hands (almost any size). Knife sheaths I have a hard plastic clamshell and they are worth every penny.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
