Excellent price for kitchen and dining room

Excellent knife. Produced in Switzerland. I'm not sure if that means the parts were made there, the knife was assembled there, or both. Weight, sharpness and quality are excellent for the price. I wanted a good dishwasher safe knife at a reasonable price and this knife exceeded my expectations.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Just buy it, even with a small budget you need good tools.

Why did I wait so long to replace my crappy old chef's knife?! It's amazing and while it's one of those things I hate to spend money on, now that I have it, it was worth every penny. Even if you're on a tight budget and don't feel like spending over $30 for something this simple/small, you still need good tools. Especially if you're using a 10 inch knife that feels clumsy and awkward in your hands, just like me. I bought a second one as a wedding gift for my sister in law and she loves it too.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Too boring

Super sharp and durable

What a great knife! What a great price! I had dozens of kitchen knives, and they were all dull, uninteresting, and unsafe. from America's test kitchen. and my life has changed. At first I wanted to spend hundreds of dollars on some sort of Japanese blade, but figured I should hone my skills with a really sharp knife. I'm glad I did because this knife took some getting used to. Prep work that used to be a tedious duty is now fun! If you want to try a knife that is sharp, durable and won't break…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Buy 1 for yourself and 1 for your knifeless friends

America's test kitchen knives. Bought this knife for Christmas. Great price on Revain including Prime. The delivery was perfect as always, this knife is amazing! I thought because of the plastic handle and stuff it would feel light and cheap and would be a cheaper knife without a full shaft. This knife exceeded all my expectations! The weight is not too heavy but not too light either, the blade curvature is perfect for a great chop. The height of the knife is about half an inch taller than most

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Negative gift

I also have an excellent JA Henckels Pro 8" chef's knife (plus the less expensive Calphalon) but after watching the Cooks' Illustrated video recommending Victorinox I really wanted a blade in the Japanese style. I was pleasantly surprised by the relatively low price. After 6 months this is the knife I use most now, especially when I want to cut vegetables very thinly, such as onions. I like the feeling how it fits in my hand knife properly I hand wash immediately after use and steel sharpen…

Pros
  • All Positives
Cons
  • Fairly Good

There's no need to buy a $200 knife with this villain.

We cook at home in my house all the time (call us foodies), but I could never bring myself to invest $150-300 in a high-end chef's knife . The Victorinox series is perfect for expanding your Walmart knife set. Great grip, good edge retention, easy to clean and you're not afraid to beat them on price. I've had several Victoinox (chargeable knives, slicers, 10" chef's knives) for years and they just refuse to break. We use them for everything from chopping onions to slaughtering chickens without…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I'm so glad I didn't have to shell out a buck to buy a great knife!

I have been cooking seriously for over twenty years. I am vegetarian but my family is not. I slice, chop and slice all types of food. I somehow managed to do this by trusting my old knife-edge friends despite their stupidity (I like to cook, but I don't sharpen knives). However. The day came when I really wanted precision more than anything, and that's when I finally bought a serious knife. Its length/ergonomics is perfect for all types of cooking and cuts cooked food perfectly. I'm so glad I…

I would pay twice as much without hesitation.

I'm a chef in a Mexican restaurant. All of our old knives are actually no longer made. With good care, it can withstand daily wear and tear. I bought one a little over a year ago and came back about six months later to buy three more. I now have one each at my prep and cooking stations, as well as one at home and one at my best friend's. I will not use any other knife. The price is so ridiculously low I almost freaked out. I'm so glad I tried it. I love this knife. After 14 months of daily use,

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Not the best
