Review on In The Breeze 2973 Rainbow Wind Spinner by Michael Wilson

They need a good, steady wind to fly well.

I bought this kite for my 12 year old son because it's fun and inexpensive but seemed to be quite durable. He's always wanted to fly my double line stunt kite but it's more fragile than this one so I thought it might be a good introduction to double line kites which are quite strong. This is not a stunt kite but I wanted to give it some experience with a less fragile two line kite. For the price, this is a pretty decent product. The bag it comes in is pretty good, the handles and cord seem ok but maybe a little more length would have been nice to deal with more consistent winds over the surface. I agree with other reviews saying it's a beach. dragon. It needs quite a strong wind to keep it safely aloft and doesn't like choppy winds very much. When we flew it in winds of 10mph or less, we didn't make much progress. Above 10, the most interesting seems to begin. Then it can fly well, but we live in an area that doesn't have a lot of big open spaces or beaches. The largest field we can find still has tall trees within 100 yards or so and this kite has a hard time dealing with such an area unless the wind is very strong. I was expecting this kite to be a little easier to control than it is. I think that's mostly because we don't have much access to good strong steady breezes. I think the product is pretty good for the price and it seems to be quite durable. Tangle-free cord isn't a problem as long as you take the time to attach it to the loop at the bottom after use.
