Complete failure: household goods

The good news is that this bottle actually arrived with a spray bottle, unlike other customers who only received the bottle with the cap. The product does not smell as advertised. Let's get to the very bad news. This product is recommended here and on sewing websites for its ability to unroll the edges of jersey knits. I recently purchased an Alabama Chanin cotton jersey and washed it according to the directions before using. The edges curled quickly, as expected. I used Best Press on fabric swatches in two different colors - bright red and light cream. It took a lot of effort and ironing to achieve even minimal smoothing. Both fabrics showed small stains after spraying and ironing. I washed the red fabric and the stains have diminished although they are still visible. I didn't want to wash the cream fabric because I would sew the edges together and they would just curl up again when washed. , dyeing, discoloration, all this after spending about 5 minutes wringing out the leg of the fabric. I've tried lower and higher heat on the iron with and without steam, sprayed directly onto the fabric instead of spraying onto the ironing board cover and putting the fabric on top of the liquid, used two different irons and made no difference. As a result, the edges of the fabric are almost not ruffled and need to be trimmed, as they are very dirty. The spray on the product emits droplets of a clear liquid, not a fine mist. I tried applying Best Press to the edges with a small brush, but this added to an already ridiculously long process. Overall a disappointing experience. Be sure to test this out on a large piece of fabric before using it on clothing or other ongoing work!
