Keeping in mind that I live in the Pacific Northwest (lots of clouds) and that the days are really short right now, the batteries do not charge for more than a couple of hours of light each night. That's useless for my needs. I purchased higher quality batteries and have a charger. Exchanging each set nets either two full nights of light with the included set, or at least 3 nights of light with the higher quality batteries. Perhaps the receptor surface is too small for a good charge, but right now I will keep this up until the seasons change. On the whole, a good product, just don't expect miracles.
