Review on Enhanced Flush ๐Ÿ”ซ Gun Kit by Robinair 17595 by Mark Bearden

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not like in the photo. EDIT: NOT WORKING!

EDIT: This is my review AFTER using this product. You can read my original post below. I changed my rating from three stars to one; I would put zero if I could. In my original review I tried to describe what I got. It had a Schrader valve (like your car tire) to add compressed air from an air compressor. It just doesn't work. Schraeder valve port diameter will NOT fit standard air chucks. I have three different ones and none of them can provide a seal around the schrader valve body. If I didn't need to use this tool that day I would have returned it and bought another from a competitor. I ended up spending another $8 at my local NAPA to purchase a proper Schrader valve body and adapter. After this test, the air pistol leaks. Joy. Stay away from this product. When I read a five star review that was posted for this product, I have to wonder if it was one of those generic reviews to improve my rating or if I accidentally received the wrong product. In any case, why risk your money. When I ordered this instrument it only had a five star rating. I hope I was able to help someone with this review. end of processing. First review follows: I have not used this kit on a Robinair 17595 A/C Flush Gun before so I cannot give it four stars. I'm giving it a three for two reasons: the item pictured here on Revain is NOT included, and the 'weapon' at the end of the row is exactly the same (cheap one) you can pick up anywhere but with a different rubber. Nozzle and adapter for the yellow pipe of the air conditioning. The item shown has a traditional detachable top. Attached to the top is a yellow air conditioning line with a 'gun' and a valve and fill port to allow the canister to be pressurized by your air compressor. I've seen this type of canister before and they have a hose that attaches to the underside of the detachable top. The hose is long enough to reach the bottom of the canister and catch flushing fluid. I received a canister with a removable lid and a Schrader valve on top. On the side of the canister, closer to the bottom, there is a threaded hole with an adapter for attaching the yellow air conditioning line. This may actually work better than the inner tube mentioned earlier, as the user can tip the jar sideways so the flushing liquid covers that hole. After using this tool I can go back and edit this review. What I would change: the Schrader valve at the top for filling with compressed air is not protected at all. If the outside diameter is a standard size I will tap the outside to allow the protective cap to be screwed on. Also, I would have preferred the "weapon" shown on the article here on Revain. I believe that this type of "pistol" is of higher quality. The rubber end seems very similar to the one in the picture so I'll skip it from Robinair. As I said after using this item I will come back and edit this review. Then he may or may not deserve four stars. I will not give five stars because what is shown in the photo is not what I received. The purpose of the image is to show the consumer what they are buying before they spend their hard-earned money. This might be the best flush gun kit in the world but not five stars from this buyer. I've tried searching the Robinair website hoping to find the correct image to link to but have been unsuccessful. I don't want to link to an image that's on a website owned by a Revain competitor (not that I'm loyal to Revain, just bad taste), also another website may remove the image and I'll post a link to it will be dead in time. If Robinair changed the design of this article after the current image was provided by Revain, then that is their problem. Anyway I wanted to make sure you know what you are going to order when you purchase this item.
