I think the muller's less powerful motor and the blade design and shape of the stainless steel container (bowl) help the muller produce a very even grind produced without much fine powder resulting in much less bitterness. It's very easy to know when the grind is complete just by listening to the sound coming from the muller. Every morning we brew 12 cups of coffee in the Cuisinart filter coffee maker, which for our taste requires 5/8 cups of ground coffee. Muller makes it easy to grind this amount of grain. When the grinding is finished, we simply turn the Mueller grinder upside down and lightly tap the bottom a couple of times, then turn it over, remove the transparent plastic cover and pour the ground coffee into the filter. We are very happy with the coffee. coffee grinder and would highly recommend Muller.
