Review on Set of 2 StrongArm 6755 Hood Lift Supports for Lexus RX350, RX450h (2010-2015) by Pushkraj Barton

I usually only buy genuine parts for my cars but I found it hard to pay 4x more for a pair of OEM hood lifters. My factory ones failed on my 2011 RX350 after 6 years / 95k. He couldn't hold the hood at all - dangerous. I had a couple of concerns that replacement parts usually have: they don't fit the length and are of poor quality. Not so with these. The extended length is exactly the same as the OEMs they replaced and the hood closes perfectly with no extra pressure pushing it up - see attached photos. Also made in the USA. Quick tip - it's difficult to disengage the latches on the underside on either side with even the smallest flathead screwdriver due to the minimal clearance. A miniature 90 degree hook/pick will make your life a lot easier. Tops can easily use a small flat head.
