They work great.

I can't speak for the folks who use them over coax for transmission, but for simple reception needs (public safety HF and VHF/UHF) these little jumpers work great. They help me to use the shorter pieces of coax I already have instead of buying or making longer pieces every time I want to experiment with a new antenna or location.
