I have an Electra Townie and my original seat clocked up too many miles to absorb the bumps in the terrain I ride on daily and I developed lower soreness after my daily 10 miles The back. But I was reluctant to get an aftermarket seat. So glad I took this risk (after trying another one that clearly didn't fit my bike). It's great - with extra padding on the seat itself and the big springs that really help smooth out even those nasty speed bumps. My back pain is almost non-existent. I've ridden about 30 miles in the seat and have only one tiny complaint so far. It tends to creak a bit. All in all, this is a very minor annoyance compared to the comfort of the seat.
