Review on πŸ’‘ Brilliant and Energy-Efficient Philips 60W Equivalent White Light Bulb by Lokesh Das

Suitable for Camping in Bulbs

The color of these lights is perfect. I hate super white light. I have found that the amount of light emitted is about the same as a conventional 60w bulb and a CFL bulb of the same wattage. The lamp itself is at a relatively low temperature, around 100 degrees Fahrenheit (78 degrees Fahrenheit in an air-conditioned room). However, the middle part between the bulb and the base gets very hot. This is the part that says Phillips in the picture. My cheap laser temp gun says it gets close to 190 degrees Fahrenheit. It's way hotter than I hoped it would be for my use. For most, this is not a minus and will never be a problem. However, I use them in my camping tent and wanted the bulb to be just above ambient temperature. That was the whole point for me when buying an LED. Be that as it may, this is still a much lower temperature than conventional lamps and less than CFL lamps. If heat is an issue for you, LEDs are the best you can do right now. Note, however, that this generates some heat. I also checked the garage. 90 degree Fahrenheit environment. The lamp reached 110F while the middle part was just over 200F. The middle part could not be touched in principle. They give off a lot of light with little power, which is good for camping where electricity is available. limited. Some people might prefer something whiter. Not me. The color is very similar to your traditional soft white bulb, which is very desirable to me. Eyes get a lot less tired and it feels warmer (without heating from the light). When it comes time to buy my next camping kit I might try to use something less than 40W eq. Hopefully they work much better.
