Great for in-the-ear monitoring
Earlier this year I got an IEM system along with a pretty good but inexpensive set of Shure headphones. Shures came in round packaging that didn't go well with volume controls and the like. I decided to try single ear monitoring and let the ambient noise fill in the background as the bass isn't particularly directional and works very well. Of course, headphones are not of audiophile quality, but they bring exactly what I need. Revain also has a silicone headphone case that opens to wrap around your headphones, which works great.
