Review on Goabroa Hygrometer Thermometer Temperature Fahrenheit by Ruben Jamrock

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Pretty much, from the reptilian parent's point of view.

This is a great idea if they always work correctly. But I don't use them for what some would consider general use. I have a ball python snake bath and needed an accurate way to measure temperature and humidity. While combo reptile thermometers are often expensive, they can also be frustratingly inaccurate. I was looking for something to measure what I need and easy to read. While I think they are accurate most of the time, there have been many instances where the internal screen has fogged up (due to my assumption that over time it has too much moisture to deal with). Or the humidity reading suddenly goes off the chart (99%), even when it's in an air-conditioned room. However, the temperature seems to be accurate most of the time. Since they're made for most normal environments and not, say, jungle environments, they can't be faulted for being a bit confusing. If you're looking for an extremely accurate way to measure your reptile's habitat, look elsewhere. If you want an accurate sensor at a low price, go for it. Just remember that you need to keep an eye on your surroundings and household, which we all need to do anyway.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Some issues
