I bought this as a gift for my mom and when it arrived I was dying to try it! After a test drive I decided to keep it myself! I feel that this would be too much of a massage for my mother and her foot problems. She has nerve damage and had toe surgery a few years ago which still causes her discomfort. This massager is very powerful even on the lowest settings. It took me a few tries to find a good foot position that didn't cause discomfort. I had the pain in my pinky toes that others have mentioned, but I managed to avoid it by repositioning my foot. I also wear socks as recommended. I tried it once without socks, it's not comfortable at all! Speaking of the heating function. I need to warm up a bit. What I did at first was just go through with heat with the kneading function on. Then I run a full heat massage and it's nice and warm! Finally, in terms of foot size that the massager can accommodate. I assumed my husband wouldn't be able to use it because he's a size 13. His feet are narrower and he can put his feet in the massager and he likes it a lot.
