I bought this kettle to replace a 42oz kettle that had too much tea to drink on its own and am hoping it stays hot. This kettle is perfect for my purposes. I use fairly large cups and this is perfect for 2 cups in my favorite mug with plenty of room for milk. (I'm using 16 oz Anchor Hocking Cafe glasses for reference.) The tea infuser is deep enough for the tea to submerge easily in water, leaving room to roll out. The brewing unit has no sharp edges and is very easy to clean. I shoot a start due to the design of the lid. The lid fits tightly on the brewer, which is very convenient. However, once your tea is brewed and you remove the tea strainer, the lid is clearly too small for the teapot itself. It will slip if you don't hold it firmly in place. A slightly wider silicone seal around the lid solves this problem. It's fine if you plan on drinking the whole teapot at once, but a bit annoying for those of us who don't digest the tea OR put it in a tea bag instead of a tea bag. insert times.
