I bought this to understand why the Check Engine light is on. I wanted to understand if this was an emergency or something that could wait until I changed the oil. I connected it to my two machines and it gave me all the information about the machine and how it works. The check engine light was not on in any of my cars. I told my neighbor I bought this and one of their cars had the check engine light on. I hooked it up and found the torque converter was loose. Based on that, they were able to google the issue and figure out how much it should cost when they submitted it for service. Definitely worth the money.
