I just got around to replacing the OEM plastic water hose fitting with this one. The earlier OEM is prone to failure (breaking), so replace it with a more durable one if necessary. This spare part is all metal except of course the rubber O-ring. The processing is really good. The only downside is the o-ring is larger than the OEM. It was a VERY close landing. Before installation, make sure the o-ring is properly lubricated (use silicone paste or a water-based lubricant). This makes insertion easier and also prevents damage to the O-ring. If you're replacing an OEM part early, you can probably reuse the old o-ring. OR you may be better off just ordering an OEM o-ring and saving yourself the headache of installing it. Mostly excellent. It would be ideal if the O-ring met OEM specifications. Update: O-ring broken after a few weeks. Because the O-ring was too large, part of it broke, resulting in leakage. I didn't get it because once it was up and running there was no way to test it unless I took it apart. Again, do yourself a favor, get the genuine o-ring and don't try to force a genuine o-ring in place.
