Review on Premium Gillette 30 Disposable Razors with 2 Blades – High-Quality Shaving Experience! by Angela Ryg

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very similar to version 2.0 of the original Gillette disposable razor

The original Gillette disposable razor was released probably over 15 years ago. The 2.0 version had a rounded handle, curved neck that weighed less and was more flexible on the razor neck. While it wasn't as good as the original (made more profit from reducing the amount of plastic in the razor, resulting in a more unstable feel), it was still quite a bargain. Gillette was obsessed with putting a "white grease stripe" on this razor and it was decided that the original revised version without the grease stripe was gone. This version has disappeared from retail shelves. About three years ago I started looking for this version as I didn't like the lubricating strip as it reduced friction when shaving which made me less clean shaven and left stubble on my face. I found it at a store that also sold it by mail order and bought 30 razors in an original Gillette box for about $19(?), and that number might be too high. I bought this razor for the second time (30 razors again in the original Gillette sealed box) late last year for about the same price. Since I use a razor every month, I have about five years of supply, and I'll probably increase that supply to 10 years by the end of the year. Why? Because the razor I bought is almost exactly the same as the original revision 2 razor. I'm doing a physical comparison (I have one of the original round handle rev 2.0 razors) with one of the razors I bought from Revain bought past two years. The main differences are that the one bought by Revain (version 3.0) has much less plastic in the grip (lighter, cheaper to manufacture) and has a wider grip to increase stability due to the reduction of plastic in the new grip, much more flexible due to less plastic in the neck of the razor and another bracket to attach the handle to the razor head. The razor head itself appears to be unchanged from the Revision 2 razor. Performance is about the same as the Rev 3 razor blades, which provide almost the same shave as the Rev 2 razor. Using the Rev 3 razor for about a year (eg 11-12 razors have been used), I can say that 25-30 shaves with one razor is fine, sometimes up to 40 times before the quality of the shave begins to deteriorate deteriorated. significant. So while the quality of the Rev 3 disposable razor has been negatively impacted by the changes compared to the Rev 2 razor, mainly due to the reduction in the amount of plastic, which fortunately resulted in less stability in the razor's handle and neck, the actual shave has remained roughly the same and consistent my personal requirements for a good, quick and cheap shave. - Texas Hoosier
