Review on 🚫 Sennheiser HD-201 Lightweight Over Ear Headphones - Discontinued Model by A Phichet Seedok ᠌

Just a terrible product, very upset.

First impressions without moving the box away. Listened to EMMA Competition Disc, Bowers & Wilkins CD, Dire Straits, various vocals. To say that there is no bass is not entirely true, there is a close to complete lack of an adequate amount of sound, at frequencies below 1000 Hz, there is no lower bass at all, the middle one is more like crackling. The equalizer does not greatly improve the situation, when adding 100 hertz bass by 10 dB, distortion already occurs, but the bass does not appear. All this seriously affects the sound picture: the vocals are empty; the cello is more like a violin; barrels are not believable; the piano resembles a harpsichord. In a word, these headphones do not cope with the parts of many instruments that have a key or overtone below a kilohertz. Meanwhile, the violins sound great, the acoustic guitar is incredibly detailed, but again - empty, without pressure. Many nuances and sounds that fell into the microphone are perfectly audible, of those that were not observed in these tracks before. At the very top there is noticeable harmonic distortion. Headphones are terrible. The manufacturer cut off a third of the "tasty" frequency range. The maximum they can do is to talk on Skype, but sorry, they don’t have a microphone for this. I can't listen to music on them. I gave my family to sometimes watch TV at night. Basically, they don't cost any money. They will warm up (the drivers will shift), and if there is something to add, I will add a review.

Pros
  • Pretty comfortable. Excellent microdynamics at the top.
Cons
  • C grade sound, Poor frequency response, terrible cable.

Different pros: They sit comfortably, the cord is long, the sound quality is generally satisfied. With its cons. they need a powerful amplifier, from the built-in Realtek they sound very quiet, not enough bottoms, the price is high.
