They don't last long for CFLs

I bought several of these CFLs as well as some larger ones from Feit to install in alcoves around the house. They would be very valuable if they lived anywhere near their advertised lifespan. But after a few months, three have blown and another is in danger of failing. Buying them was false frugality and not a very green decision.
