well over 5 years. Now no problem! Neither Microsoft nor ASUS helped. No driver updates have fixed the issue. The next time I started my computer, the distortion was back! So I reinstalled the driver that came with it and it worked for about a minute and then went back into distortion mode! WTF? Another possibly related issue is that my mouse is also very slow and when watching YouTube videos the playback also stutters! To hell with Microsoft! I think that everything is fine with the card; I finally discovered that a bad DVD drive in my computer case was the culprit for the audio stuttering and bad video problems! The elimination process finally solved the problem! It wasn't a Windows 10 update per se, but it seemed so because it happened right after! Find out! It took me weeks to solve this puzzle, slowly removing components and restarting each time! Wow!
