When I opened the package I thought it might have been a mistake because I had received the wrong product. I had to take and check the packaging twice to make sure it wasn't another expensive item that was accidentally sent to me. Even though all the fibers in this blanket are man-made, you would have a hard time telling the difference if you didn't do what happened to me. Before use I washed on a gentle cycle and used on a medium/low heat on a dry setting. The quilt has such a high bulk/bulk that even on almost the lowest drying cycle (close to air drying which I recommend) the quilt is slightly melted/frosted in a few places due to the concentrated heat in different areas. The solution was to use a semi-hard brush to smooth out the surfaces so they look and feel uniform. Except for my unfortunate oversight. The duvet continues to be a great addition to my bed during cool fall evening temperatures and spring weather.
