I rarely drive far enough to cool the car down. I finally bought one of these last year and I'm so glad I did. No, nothing spins, so don't expect it. It circulates all the hot air and pushes it out through the open window. Any store I need, from Medicine to Walmart, is within 15 minutes of me. I can walk back and forth and sweat without this fan. I can't find a place to mount it in my small car, so I just put it on the passenger seat and point it my way. Yes, it looks like a piece of plastic trash, but trust me, you won't regret buying one of these. A friend of mine has an old model car like mine and I gave her one of these as a gift. Now there are two happy drivers near me.
