Review on Burnished Bronze Metal Cable Grommet by Isaac Simpson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks great, works great, but instructions are limited.

I chose this oiled bronze cable gland to mount on a very nice hardwood table with oiled bronze fittings. Luckily the installation went well and looks good. However, the bushing came with scant instructions - essentially just telling them to drill a 2 3/8" diameter hole and, if loose, use tape around the base. The difficulty is drilling a hole without scratching or splitting the surface of the table. and the instructions don't say a word about this - I had to sit on YouTube for an hour for tips (use a sharp hole saw and put tape where the hole is going to be drilled). It dangled a bit in the hole so I taped the base with tape to ensure a tight fit. The tape is not visible after installation.

Pros
  • RUGGED CONSTRUCTION – Made from die-cast zinc. The antique bronze finish complements any decor.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
