Chrome finish doesn't hold up

I also have a Washington plate but the fit was acceptable. My complaint is that after 6 months the "chrome" finish was already covered in rust and rust! Of course, this is a cheap product, but 6 months is just not acceptable. This is the second Cruiser Accessories License Plate Frame this has happened to. The first frame was made of plastic with a "chrome" coating and was also covered in holes and corrosion. I was hoping the metal frame would have a better finish but that doesn't seem to be the case.
