My first reaction to these scissors was concern. As you can see from the photo, the blades are a lot wider than both of my old pair of hair scissors. Also, my father was a hairdresser and I remembered what kind of scissors he had with very thin blades. When I received them and held them in my hands I almost sent them back just because the blades seem so wide and thick. I used them tonight to brush my dog who has a very coarse coat. I was surprised! Each clip felt like slicing through softened butter. I asked my husband to try them and he commented on how sharp and smooth they cut. I'm very glad I kept them and happy to share my opinion on their quality and value. I will be buying a second pair solely for my very thick long hair.
