Review on πŸ₯” Efficient & Versatile: Browne Stainless Steel Potato Ricer with 3 Removable Disks by Tessa Dolan

Not the best, far from the worst

Have been using it for a year now. It's stainless steel and can be washed in the dishwasher without rusting, although it's a little uncomfortable, but I manage to open it and it comes out clean. You can mash potatoes with their skins on, but the skins will stay in the "hopper", which is fine if you want skinless potatoes, but not great if you want to seal them in. This will also clog it up, so you'll need to keep cleaning it. The handle is sturdy enough to get the job done without bending, but it requires some force to push through, so it's not for those lacking in that department. I didn't want to spend extra money on a big one at the Williams Sonoma, but I kind of wanted it because it lasts so much longer. You make this 1 potato at a time, which isn't great for a crowd, it's best to use a blender. I believe in rice? Potato makes the lightest, fluffiest potato you'll ever taste! If I had a baby I would use this and make my own baby food. I wish I had known about them (and food sealing equipment) back then. I keep forgetting to try it for other tasks like homemade soup or tomato sauce/pasta sauce, but it should work fine for that too. I will be doing this soon as it is also good for those on a liquid diet which I am on due to surgery.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Something is wrong
