Basically works about 5 minutes
Hot knife requires a more secure attachment method, it takes about 15 minutes to heat the blade, but it will weaken when heated. Make sure you have tools to re-tighten them when hot. Broke trying to cut a plastic bottle, soldering head worked better than plastic cutting knife, knife blade cools down too quickly.
