This receiver does what it promises and offers good value for money. It was easy to install and I found the fit and finish, connector quality etc to be typical of mid-range receivers. The remote control is also average (e.g. no lights, no glow-in-the-dark buttons, etc.). One anti-feature I find quite annoying is that it turns itself off if the audio stream stops for a few seconds. Protocol. I don't have four ways to beat this or change the timeout, but I haven't checked either. This babysitting feature is of dubious environmental value because the receiver doesn't use as much power in standby mode. Also, and more importantly, in the age of dashcams, people are constantly interrupting the show to go to the bathroom, open the door, make coffee, etc. Soundstreams. I have an old HDMI 1.0 HD disc player that doesn't play very well with it. So far I haven't had any arthritis issues from having to turn it back on :-) but I find this feature annoying. in principle if not in practice.
