i5-2500k. I am writing from 2022. Overclocked to 4.4 GHz. You can overclock even up to 4.7 GHz (hello to modern processors!) but then the cooler should be noisy and the voltage of 1.4 is already dangerous. Can play immediately 2 1080p60 without friezes. In tests in the overclocked state, it is not inferior to the i5-9400F in terms of performance per core ! And only in 2022 did Intel stir and lazily start adding cores to their mainstream processors.
