Pictured are two of the artificial palm plants that arrived over the weekend. Each plant had been folded, then bagged in plastic. Upon opening, the odor of the plastic was a bit overwhelming, but once aired were much better. To mount the plants, I used 8" plastic plant containers, then made a mixture of Quikrete and water to set each plant in a pot. The photo shows both plants placed into holes and then covered with red mulch. This gives you an idea of how they will look once the stems have been straightened and spread out to give a "real" look. I gave these plants 4 stars for now since I just planted them; the jury will be out for a long time so I can to determine how well the plants hold up against our harsh Texas sun and heat through the summer.
