It is as advertised specifically for lighting and the like. Of course it matches my color stick, but I've tried it on 3 different broomsticks and it fits all of them. So yes, it should be in your stunt bag. The mini ball head is a regular board with a 1/4 mounting plate and a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter on the end of the tripod. The thing is, if you have something even moderately heavy that's swinging at the end of a long pole, it's better to have a secure mount. I assume the thought here is that you will only be using light hardware due to the leverage involved. I agree, but the videographer's first thought would be to use this with a camera and gimbal to mimic drone footage. It's just not safe with an aluminum 1/4 screw. It's a bit overpriced given the prevalence of these mini ball heads and would be a much better seller if they didn't use the head together and included two adapters. - one with a 1/4" screw and one with a 3/8" screw, possibly high strength or at least stainless steel instead of aluminum.
