Review on πŸ“± Enhanced Protection - Macally SlimFolio11P Case Cover for 11-Inch MacBook Air by Cody Siger

UPDATE: Downgraded to 3 stars after broken tabs

I'm updating my review and downgrading my rating from 5 to 3 stars after visiting my daughter at college this weekend and noticing that she isn't using the case . She explained that the plastic tabs, which I feared would not hold up, gradually broke, rendering the suitcase unusable. When I asked her how that happened, she said the first tab broke after a few weeks of using the case - I just didn't know when I wrote my original review. She didn't even notice them break off. They just did it. Not immediately, but over time. She's not usually picky, but the computer travels with her in her backpack. I think it's still a GREAT case, but if you're planning on carrying it from place to place in a bag, I'd be very wary of the plastic tabs. latest Macbook Air. While I like the look of the Hard Candy, it didn't hold up as well as I would have liked. I still use it on my old Air but I had to sew the spine of the book to keep it on the computer. And yet it's stretched and a bit annoying to keep going. The Macally case looks more professional and heavier. It has a slider mount which bothered me at first but seems to be holding up pretty well. Love the feel of the briefcase (like the Hard Candy) and the fact that it hides the contents (anti-theft). It's rough enough that it won't slip when you're sitting on your lap (another reason I liked the Hard Candy, since it's suede). All in all, I would have a hard time deciding between the two, but I definitely love them both for different reasons.
