Mazda's factory floor mat protector is quite disappointing. It seems that there are more uncovered than covered carpets! Because of this, the first purchase I made for our new CX-5 was Husky floor mats. They generally offer a better price than Weathertechs, which is why I choose Husky. After installation I was relieved at how much of the carpet was covered with these rugs. They cover so much I doubt I'll have to take them downstairs to vacuum for a long time. In previous cars that I've had huskies in, I've vacuumed every 1-2 weeks to 1-2 times a year, and even then only because I've taken the huskies out to clean. The coverage is just great. I wish they had raised the boards a little more than they do (it's still more than enough), but I have a feeling they chose not to do so out of concern that there might be trouble getting in- and boarding the CX-5. .Overall easy 5 stars. These things are worth their weight in gold. PS: As I show in my photos, a simple little trick to installing these things is to warm them up before installing. They're usually pretty tough when they arrive, so warming them up will help loosen them up a bit, making installation a lot easier. It also helps them keep the shape you put them in after you put them in. If it's winter, use a portable heater and blow it into the box that comes with the mats.
