Checking is very easy, the battery contacts are absolutely miserable - I took absolutely fresh CR2032 cells, checked the voltage and found that they had to be planted "perfectly" so that they had stable contact with the battery . +/- Clamps - Removing the batteries indicates that simply inserting them will scratch the contact surface. There may be strong physical resistance when attempting to insert the CR2032 into the mount. read below. Also - I've put a few of these into projects, put batteries in them and when I looked at them yesterday (90 days after building) the simple fact that they were pressing against the cage (because they're so tight) was 50% of the cages I have collected actually separated the cage from the substrate. I mean the batteries were literally so tight they crushed the holder. The batteries were under the parts I had assembled when they fell out completely. Don't buy them.
