Review on πŸŽ’ ZOMAKE Lightweight Packable Backpack for Durable Outdoor Use by Cody Wuol

Fantastic travel backpack - lightweight, waterproof, compact and easy to carry!

I bought this backpack for my upcoming trip to Japan. My main pack will be a large backpack (TLS Motherlode Weekender) but there are a few times I leave my large backpack and go on a 1-2 night trip with this smaller backpack. So I wanted a backpack that is very light, takes up little space, is waterproof, offers enough space for overnight stays and is comfortable to carry. I feel like I hit the jackpot with this backpack. To try it out, I used it as carry-on luggage on a 7 day trip to Hawaii. I've included three photos showing it's packed for travel. In a 9" x 12" binder, I was able to fit a stack of letter-size paper about 1/2" thick, 5 sketchbooks (I test them, too), two bags of pens and other art supplies, a bag of miscellaneous items, my iPad, cell phone, wallet, headphones, a cardigan, a bottle of water and all the other little things you take with you when you travel. You can see all of this in the first photo. In the second photo, the visor is in the pocket, it's packed full and there's still room. The backpack has a large internal compartment with an unlined laptop sleeve big enough to easily hold a binder, an iPad and two of my largest sketchbooks. The large compartment easily fits a small to medium suitcase as well as toiletries and a small set of art supplies for my trip to Japan. There are also two zipped compartments on the front. The top compartment easily fits my wallet and smartphone. The crescent pocket below is quite large and is further divided internally by a pocket and a zippered mesh pocket to help organize all your small items. There are also two mesh water bottle holders - one on each side - and the top elastic strap holds my water bottles fairly securely. My third photo of the backpack with the above load. (Note that there is still room. In Hawaii, I used the bag almost daily for various trips. The wide shoulder straps distribute the load fairly evenly despite the lack of padding, and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is, too with heavy loads and longer (kilometer plus) walks. It rained for us the first two days of our trip and now I can confirm that the backpack is also waterproof. The only thing I didn’t like were the chest straps. As a woman found I found they were placed a bit below optimum, you can slide up and down for the best fit, but the top position was still a little low, but not so low that I couldn't use it for extra security when hiking above rough terrain Photo shows a buckled chest harness (you can also see the bright orange emergency whistle/buckle - not my favorite feature al) Last photo I tried to show the backpack profile when worn. It's definitely a thinner profile than many that are also good.
