This set offers a wide range of grits from basic sharpening to razor sharp. The size of the stones also offers a sufficient attack surface for large blades. The accessories included in the kit complete the set perfectly.My only comment. These are very porous synthetic stones that soak up honing oil like a sponge. And like a sponge, all that oil will fall onto any surface where a rock accidentally sits. Aside from being messy when it all comes out, these things get the job done at a good price.
