I bought these because I've heard they clean stainless steel when glued on and left for a long time. DO NOT DO THAT! Read the rest of the review. The powder is great, I got enough so I gave it 4 stars. The only problem is that they underestimate the aggressiveness of this material. This material is an oxidizer and will poison items if left on for too long. I've had 10 year old stainless steel pans that looked charred from cooking over an open fire, I even had a well varnished stainless steel pan. Well how it works, it works great! You just want to limit exposure to around 1-3 minutes and then wash it off to deactivate, then strike again. Don't rub with metal squeegees as the chemicals will do the work for you. I etched the spots to a dark gray on a large expensive pot and ended up having to buff them with sanding buffer and cheat (they do when they're done). At least my 10 year old pan set looks brand new so I'm happy and may never have to replace it. I've also used it on stubborn stains on the sink and it comes out spotless. You can buy a glitter replacement spray online if the glitter wears off over time.
