Good ink is not OEM. Easy to use, clean printhead often enough

I bought a Brother HL-L2320D monochrome laser printer two years ago and I love it. TN660 ink is easy to find and there are many non-genuine options. I am yet to be dissatisfied with the toner cartridge I have used in this printer and this is no exception. These ink cartridges are easy to install and work just like the OEM inks that came with the device, except for the need to clean the print. head a little more. I just installed a new cartridge and started printing. The cartridge works well and this ink is significantly cheaper than OEM ink, but I have found that I have to clean the printhead more often than with OEM ink. I usually clean the printhead every 100-250 prints or when ink specks appear on the prints. If you've already cleaned the printhead, here's how to do it - just pull out the whole thing you put the ink cartridge in, remove the cartridge, and at the end in front of the roller there's a little slider (usually blue or green ) which you move back and forth dozens of times to remove the ink drops. You then manually turn the grooved wheel on the left that spins the cylinder and wipe away any drips you see on the cylinder with a lint free cloth (I use a microfiber cloth that's not used for anything else). I've tried a few. This printer uses various brands of non-OEM ink cartridges and so far they have all worked consistently and reliably, apart from the need to clean the print head frequently. A 2600 page application is 5% coverage, which is mostly text documents with no photos or bold type. I have found that I typically get 1200-1900 pages per cartridge, but I often print images and rarely print at only 5% coverage. When I was printing D&D pages for a friend, I got close to 900 prints because many of the pages with lots of illustrations were completely covered. I am pleased with the performance of these cartridges and would buy them for my money at the current price of $21.99 for 2 packs. I almost never buy OEM inks and haven't had any problems so far.
