Review on πŸ”Œ Listed VCE Cat6A Shielded Keystone by David Tadder

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Rugged design, easy to use

We finally decided to run an Ethernet cable throughout the house. We chose a 6A 26AWG (Cable Matters) cable with a T568B wire configuration. We had a lot of ups and downs in the first couple of years but now we have installed 4 out of 12 outlets. What might help is to look at the photo instructions right here on this listing FIRST! A few things we had trouble with: 1. We followed the instructions from other sites to connect the wires to the connector, which worked fine but was problematic at times. That's where the photos on this list come in! It makes sense to arrange the wires as shown in Photo #4 since the cable enters the jack at a 90 degree angle.2. The keystone jacks were not securely fastened in the main wall panels we purchased so we had to use duct tape.3. Little did we know that the metal fasteners can be removed, making it easier to place the wires and cut them.

Pros
  • Solid Metal Shroud Shielded RJ45 Keystone Jacks Accept standard wall plate or blind keystone patch panels, outdoor or indoor, supports 22 to 26 AWG solid or stranded wire, Cat. 6a/cat6/cat5e/cat5 sftp/ftp/utp ethernet cable.
Cons
  • I have doubts
