I bought my father a 45-150 lens. After comparing it to my 35-100 f4-5.6 (the smallest) I decided to sell my 35-100 even though it's more portable and buy another 45-150. The 45-150 not only outperforms the 35-100 because of the longer range, but also because of the better image quality. The center is certainly not as good as the 35-100 f2.8 (prof which I also have) but the extreme corners are kept at a good level, much better than the tiny 35-100 ie image quality is above that whole picture very good. The optical stabilization is effective despite being only MEGA and not POWER, and when installed on my GX85 the dual stabilization makes it even better. This is one of Panasonic's cheapest lenses, making it very good value for money.
