I ordered this product over other similar products because the reviews were good for this one and not so good for some others. One brand was tested multiple times due to the short length of wire packaged (it gets 90-95 feet on a spool that should have been 100 feet). I didn't order a monster cable because they are not that transparent in terms of wire gauge. Firstly, the color of the jacket (which I've read about in other reviews) is more blue-grey than blue, but I like the color and the color of the jacket didn't bother me anyway. The jacket is heavy and made of a material that is easy to handle (it's flexible and soft enough to unravel easily) and thick enough that I would (and will) use it to cover the speakers in my boat run (a different project than my current project). one) through closed spaces and don't worry. The internal insulation around the conductors is STRONG. You'll need a good pair of wire strippers. The insulation on the wires is color coded as shown in the product image making it very easy to tell which wire is which (no small white line or mark on the transparent insulation that is almost impossible to see/read). I didn't measure how much wire was on the spool, but given the quality of the wiring and packaging, I find it hard to believe that a company could put customers off with poor service after struggling so hard to put a good product on the market bring to market. The wiring is very thin copper, again very easy to work with. I can't tell if the sound got better or worse with this cable as it was a brand new setup and I have no comparison. But the wire is thick (12 gauge) and the sound was good, so I don't see a problem. I would (and will) buy more of these.--HC
