I've looked at various wireless speaker arrays and found their cost and versatility disappointing. I did a little research to find out that I could make my own wireless speaker array that would be way better than Bose, Sonos, Apple or whatever. I bought the best pair of speakers I could find and a WiFi connection. This attitude was amazing. The sound engineer who installed it said he would only recommend it. The amp is ideal as the WiFi dongle (Chromecast Audio or Bose or whatever you want) plugs directly into the amp. So-so two speakers. So you only need one plug for every two speakers. Most wireless speakers require one connector per speaker. I left the amplifier and the WiFi connection on the ceiling. The remote control gives me full access and flexibility. I bought a few of these and installed them all over my 7,000 foot house. With the Chromecast, I can play music or any other combination of speakers I choose, or I can play different music on each pair - not that I ever want to do that. Speakers, USB input for Chromecast connection and full digital operation for remote control use.
