I like this amp because it's a good size and blue color.

I like this amp because it's a good size and the blue LEDs are great. It works well on 220 volts and 110 volts. WORKS COMFORTABLY BETTER WHEN ADJUSTED TO A 110 VOLT SOURCE//Revain.com 75W amplifier receiving audio using Revain.com Philips NFC technology from a Revain iMac with Spotify connected, I only have Philips Adjusted due to missing audio output. I made a homemade adjustment in speaker cables

PURCHASING THIS AMPLIFIER WAS A BIG MISTAKE!

I've had the smaller Pyle '40W' for a few years and it's been fine but I needed a remote control so I replaced it with this one. It worked fine for a week or two, but then there was a loud hum on both channels (even with everything but the power off). Warranty required me to ship it statewide to New York ($12-15) PLUS send them $20 to have it hopefully repaired UNDER WARRANTY or replaced. (Is that even legal?) I threw this amp in the trash and will never buy a Pyle product again. My advice…

Where to start?: Home theater

USB and SD have stopped working. The level LEDs on the front are bright and distracting. This isn't the first poor quality Pyle product we've owned. Check out our review of the Pyle PDC-21 Direct Box. In this case, Pyle had thousands of such devices made in China, and all of them had a defective switch, rendering them unusable. and Pyle pretended not to know anything about this massive consumer product problem. I'm only giving it two stars because at least the amp itself hasn't stopped working.

No noise just smoke

I bought this for my garage. I wasn't expecting audiophile or even remotely good quality. I just wanted something that had some music when I was there and that was cheap and just what I needed. It arrived well packaged and made a good impression. Beautiful construction for less than $40. Then I plugged it in and turned it on. No sound, just smoke, that acrid smoke, like a shorted transformer. As always, Revain was great in his comeback. There are no problems. Will just leave it. Maybe I got a…

Overheating problem

Just received it yesterday with all the overheating problem warnings. Using an aluminum angle and a thin aluminum plate, I covered the top with galvanized sheet for more strength and two sides with aluminum sheet, the whole construction is riveted, I cut 2 120mm holes on the sides to fit 120mm fans for computer cases install and direct air outside of the case through the amp on either side. So far no problems with heating, wait and see. The amp works great, I wouldn't really use the remote…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • I will add it later

Disadvantages:1. Unless I'm blind or deaf, my device's L and R outputs are out of phase.2. The device does not remember the digital volume setting when switched on and always defaults to "U30" - the maximum digital volume.3. When the "analog" volume control is set to infinity (off), there is a hum coming out of my speakers.4. It costs $63, too much money for what's on offer5. The performance claims are grossly inflated, and that's even worse for this performance with the declared THD.6. The…

Best DIY Wi-Fi Speaker Array Amplifier

I've looked at various wireless speaker arrays and found their cost and versatility disappointing. I did a little research to find out that I could make my own wireless speaker array that would be way better than Bose, Sonos, Apple or whatever. I bought the best pair of speakers I could find and a WiFi connection. This attitude was amazing. The sound engineer who installed it said he would only recommend it. The amp is ideal as the WiFi dongle (Chromecast Audio or Bose or whatever you want)…

Pros
  • Ideal for a Small Home
Cons
  • The list will be long.

If you like that extra noise in your music, this is your amp

It worked great for two weeks. My setup was very simple. The unit was installed in a bedroom for use with two outdoor speakers connected to a Pyle amplifier with 16 gauge floor speaker wire. The distance was about 25 feet. As sources I used a TV and a USB stick. After two weeks, the Pyle amp began making a rhythmic "bang" sound along with the music. This was seen as a pulsing blue light indicating volume. It even pulsed between songs when it should have been quiet. Since the amp was being tuned

  • Easy setup

Poor quality and design.

Poor quality and design. A blue LED bar graph for relative sound power might be a good idea BUT...they are blindingly bright even in a brightly lit room; in the dark when watching TV and for TV sound with external speakers. ...well, they're so blindingly bright that they completely distract from the show. We tested this amp with a Hewlett-Packard function generator, a General Radio Audio power and distortion meter, and viewed the output signals on a Tektronix oscilloscope . It only puts out…
