Review on RAMPAGE PRODUCTS 1263 Grey Breathable Cab Cover (with Top) for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler 2-Door by Shawn Hill

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great bag, crappy 2 straps sewn together (half nylon, half stretch)

Well to keep up with everyone else. This is a great case with a terrible flaw (strap design). He's fat and that's great! I'll have to wait for the rain to see if it lasts as long as people say (if I can get a replacement). I have a CJ7 but it has a 1995 YJ roll bar and fits perfectly (in case someone with a Jeep fits outside of the year range stated in the product description). But come on, producer! The straps are not adjustable as everyone claims. It consists of 2 straps sewn together (one half is nylon, the other half is elastic --- see my picture). Such a WEAK POINT that can be torn since you only have to sew a thread to separate it and that's it. Why not have a one-piece nylon strap with a sliding buckle for length adjustment like pretty much every other popular outdoor bag. I have cases for my boat, golf cart, UTV, etc. Any case with straps has adjustable nylon cases (and some of those cases are Chinese El-Cheapo. Even they know how to make full nylon belts adjustable). Unfortunately, thanks to Revain's excellent return policy, I have to box it up and send it back. There is no exchange option, only return, so I've already ordered another one. If the strap fails a second time, which I'm sure will, I'll sew on my own adjustable nylon straps with buckles. ------------------------------------------------ -- ------------Update #1 Received the 2nd order quickly (the 1st is still on its way back for a refund). Last night we had a terrible strong storm (a ton of rain, strong wind). I knew that was going to happen about 10 minutes before take off so I grabbed the boy and he and I quickly put this blanket on. I was willing to take a risk and see if it really held up. To my surprise, the jeep was completely dry inside. As expected, water pooled on top of the cabin, but I climbed in and pushed it out to ease the stress on the materials. I say completely dry! I was impressed with the straps that held the weight of the water (at least 4 gallons if I had to guess). I will provide my final update as soon as I see how the return/refund process is going.
