I saved $1,000 on a new bike

I was an avid cyclist growing up, through college and beyond. I rode over 300 miles a week, was in a race/bike club and bought one of the very first hand welded road bike frames built by Tom Ritchie when he was with Palo Alto Cycles in the 1970's. 45 years later, 3 rotator cuff surgeries and a disc problem and today I can't ride my favorite Tom Ritchie/Campagnolo equipped bike. This is a reminder of youth hanging on the wall in the garage. I even had issues with my 2009 Gary Fisher/Trek bike until I added a Sartori stem extender. All my shoulder and back pain from riding is gone now. Nerve compression and numbness of the hands also disappeared. This Sartori stem riser is beautifully finished with quality stainless steel hardware and a superb matte powder coat finish. The Sartori is a bit more expensive, but it's worth the extra money for the fit, finish, and functionality. It's easy to install, amazingly efficient, and saved me $1,000 on a brand new (and currently unavailable) upright bike. Hope that helps!

Pros
  • APPLICATIONS: The stem lift allows you to raise the handlebars to a maximum height of 78mm. Consequently, it elevates the arms to a higher position for a more comfortable upright fit.
Cons
  • Lean Instructions
