Slim fit - as other reviewers wrote. I have a skinny child who usually wears size 10 or 12 jeans with an elastic waistband pulled down to the smallest notch. I ordered 10, everything fit perfectly. He had a belt on, but his pants probably would have stayed with him. The length was longer than most of his size 10 jeans. We needed something dressier than matching brown khakis to pair with a navy blue blazer. You were perfect. (My son is almost 10 years old, average height)
