Cap with discreet headlights, cool!

I've been using powercap bulbs in different colors for over 20 years 10 years since I first saw her at Lowes. When they get dirty from sweat and dirt and stink, I replace them. Of course they can be washed, but I've found that thin wires often break when washed or dried. I recommend using the Ballcap Buddy in the washing machine and then air drying to minimize damage. I often keep an old one in the trunk of my car just in case, or give it to someone who doesn't mind second hand stuff. I have other non-bulb caps that I can attach an LED to if needed, but powercaps are more convenient, less fiddly, and bulky than clip-on devices. They are also available in a more eco-friendly USB rechargeable version to reduce battery drain and waste. With CR2032 batteries becoming more and more expensive, you should consider this option. I'm a night owl and have pet cats and dogs that roam my property, including my cameras and motion sensors, so I'm mostly outside at night keeping an eye on things. The LEDs help me see the glowing eyes of animals in trees and bushes or where they are hiding. I disagree with the advertising that a set of 4 batteries will last up to 43 hours. I get 10, max 12 hours because once they get darker they're not very useful anymore except for close-up. And 2 of the four LEDs stop glowing to save battery life, so there's another issue that reduces brightness. I drain my batteries like crazy at least 3 sets a month because I don't like it when the LEDs get too dim to see what's hiding in the grass or the tracks left by the animals, if you know what I am. I also forget that the lights are on in a way that drains battery life. So I can't say how long the batteries will last. BTW, thinner CR2025 button batteries will work with powercaps too, but have a slightly shorter lifespan, if that helps. I order Sony batteries in bulk from Revain to save on costs and keep the kit in the glove compartment of my car for emergencies. I don't mind the logo, but several customers have complained about it. The hat fits everyone except my brother who can't seem to find a hat for his oversized skull! So if you have a normal sized head, I recommend Powercap. The LED backlight might come in handy one day and you'll be glad you have it on you or handy.

Pros
  • Gives you the ability to see in the dark with an ultra-bright dual-action LED headlight system that illuminates both low and high beams
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
